Justice & Peace Ministry Dinner and Discussion Event
Saturday, November 2 at 6:30pm in the Activities Center
The topic of immigration is a very difficult one, and there are many different issues embedded in it. The Justice and Peace Ministry at St. John Fisher Chapel is pleased to be sponsoring an evening with Oscar Chacón, who is an expert on this subject, on Saturday, November 2 at 6:30pm. Oscar is a frequent national and international spokesperson on transnationalism, economic justice, the link between migration and development, migrant’s integration processes, human mobility, migration policies, racism and xenophobia; and U.S. Latino community issues.
The evening will begin after 5:30 mass with dinner, and then Mr. Chacón will speak with us about the root causes of our current immigration crisis, as well as possible solutions. There is no charge for this program, but we will be taking a free will offering. All are welcome, parishioners and non-parishioners – please spread the word! If you are in need of child care, please contact the SJFC office or email Barb Staniszewski at justiceandpeace@sjfcup.com
