An Opportunity to Serve
On Saturday, October 6, members of St John Fisher Faith Family will have an opportunity to serve others in the local community by participating in the Day of Service. Teams of parishioners will be assigned to various community agencies for 3-4 hours of meaningful service work. In addition to volunteering or for those with a conflict on this day, a list of items needed for the projects are available for donation.
Participants will have an opportunity to sign up to work at agencies such as Dutton Farm, CCRT, Gleaners Food Bank, Grovecrest Assisted Living, and several others. The type of work will depend on the agency; the experience at each location should prove to be very rewarding. Individuals and families are welcome; depending on the agency, children as young as 6 will be able to take part.
After the work assignment, participants are encouraged to return to the Chapel to celebrate at the 5:30 PM Mass and to enjoy dinner and socializing.
