Catholic Services Appeal Campaign

The 38th annual Catholic Services Appeal is now underway. I am writing to ask for your support when St. John Fisher Chapel takes up its collection during the weekend Masses of May 4-5.

Gifts to the CSA fund more than 100 ministries, programs, and services that ensure we are Opening Doors to Witness Christ in our Archdiocese and beyond. No one parish could accomplish all of this on its own! Truly, these blessings help us unleash the Gospel across the Archdiocese of Detroit each day.

I invite you to prayerfully reflect on your pledge to the 2019 CSA.

As Christian stewards and people of faith, we are called to give back a portion of God’s gifts to support the Kingdom of God here on earth, which we do through the CSA. This year, rather than asking parishioners to give more, I am asking more parishioners to give. What is important is that each of us makes an equal sacrifice relative to our means.

Our parish’s 2019 CSA target of $91,394 is our parish’s share of funding so many vital programs. If all of us at St. John Fisher Chapel contribute, myself included, we will easily exceed our target. If we do not meet the CSA target, we must make up the shortfall from our general fund. If we exceed our target, 100% of the excess will be returned directly to St. John Fisher Chapel.  This is why the CSA is the best time to give additional gifts to our parish.

You may return your completed pledge card at Mass when we take up the CSA collection during the weekend of May 4-5 or drop it by the parish office. You may also make a gift to our parish campaign online, using your debit or credit card, at give.aod.org.

I appreciate your stewardship. God bless you for your generosity!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Msgr. Michael C LeFevre, Pastor
